Moon Witch is designed so that your readings stay yours. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.
What we collect
Nothing. Moon Witch does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking software. The app makes no network requests of its own.
What stays on your device
- Your journal. Daily cards, the questions you enter, and your notes are stored in a local database inside the app on your iPhone. They are never sent to us or to anyone else.
- Your preferences. Settings such as whether you want a daily reminder are stored locally.
Deleting the app deletes this data. If you use iCloud Backup or an encrypted iTunes or Finder backup, Apple may include the app's data in your backup under your own Apple account.
Notifications
If you choose to allow them, Moon Witch schedules a local reminder on your device once a day. No notification server is involved and you can turn reminders off at any time in the iPhone Settings app.
Sharing and saving cards
When you share or save a card, the app creates an image and hands it to the iOS share sheet or to your Photos library. Saving to Photos requires your permission, which iOS asks for the first time. The app never reads your photos.
In-app purchases
The optional additional card is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes the payment under its own privacy policy. Moon Witch does not receive your name, payment details, or Apple ID.
Children
Moon Witch does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with an updated date.
